Your progressFollow your development and measure what moves you forward

How many sessions, hours and nautical miles you have behind you. How your average speed grows and which zones you train in. Numbers that make sense even to younger sailors.

My rewards — collecting knotsFor sessions, progress and new skills

Every step counts. Hours on the water turn into knots, training streaks keep the rhythm and badges remind you what you learned over the season.

  • Progress from your first knot all the way to the advanced ones
  • Training streaks and your longest run in a row
  • Goals you set yourself or together with your coach

Photos and videosThe best moments from every session always at hand

Photos from the coach boat and GoPro videos attach directly to the session they belong to. No more hunting for them across three chats and two drives.

  • An album on the specific session, not in a generic gallery
  • Photos and videos for the whole team and parents
  • Uploads keep running in the background even when you close the app

AI sailor detectionTake a photo — and Layline knows who it is

The coach shoots from the boat and AI right on the phone reads the sail number. The photo assigns itself to the right sailor and session — no more sorting hundreds of photos in the evening.

  • Sail number recognition runs right on the phone, even without signal
  • The photo is assigned to the sailor’s profile and the specific session
  • Works for Optimist, ILCA and other classes with numbers on the sail

Frequently asked questions

Who is Layline for?

For competitive and recreational sailors — mainly the Optimist, ILCA and RS Feva classes — and for their coaches and clubs. Younger athletes use the app under the supervision of a coach or parent.

Does the app work without signal on the water?

Yes. The session records locally on your phone, and as soon as you are back in network range it syncs itself to the server and the coach portal.

What does a coach see in the app?

A coach sees their athletes’ sessions, their tracks, statistics and debrief notes. Access is always based on a confirmed link between coach and sailor.

How much does Layline cost?

The basic training log is free. Club and coaching features come in a paid plan — we are happy to discuss the details on the contact page.

Where do I find my club’s public results?

At www.layline.cz/<club-name>/leaderboard. We publish a leaderboard only with the club’s consent and it shows only the data the club wants public.

Sailing is more than a sport

It’s a fight. Friendship. Adventure. Passion.

Train. Share. Race. Keep moving forward. Download Layline and log your first session this season — coaches and clubs can drop us a line, we’ll help roll it out for the whole team.
